Another fun & successful day!

$30,000!!!! That was our total raised at this year's golf tournament. Thank you EVERYONE who participated in the day, whether in person or from afar. 

As an added note of excitement, this brings our five-year total to a whopping $115,000 

Save the Date: August 13, 2013!!

With everyone's support, we will surpass $100K raised in support of the Alberta Children's Hospital Foundation with this year's tourney. We hope to see you there!!

2012 Funds Raised

To answer a question asked on a blog below about if we know how much was raised at this year's tournament...as of right now, we know we have raised over $20,000 and there are some donations still coming in.  This is definitely our most successful year yet!!!

A final total of funds raised will be posted in the next two weeks.  Thank you all again for supporting A Day for Drew and the Clark family.

Call for Golfers and Silent Auction Donations

There's just 2-1/2 months to go until the 4th Annual Drew Clark Memorial Golf Tournament. If you haven't registered to golf yet, head on over to A Day for Drew to do so. Early bird rates are still in effect. For those of you who don't wish to golf but would like to attend the dinner & silent auction, the registration form allows you do that as well.

We are always looking for amazing prizes to have in our silent auction, so if you have anything you can donate, or know of anyone who could, please contact Aisling at agamble@ucalgary.ca.

We are very excited to reveal that this year's tournament raised $18,000 for the Alberta Children's Hospital Foundation.

Thank you to everyone who came out in memory of Drew last week for the 3rd Annual 'A Day for Drew' golf tournament.

We will have more information shortly on how much your support helped us raise for the Alberta Children's Hospital Foundation and mitochondrial disease research.

The Early Bird gets the Discount

Register now (up to July 22nd) to participate in the tournament play for the early bird special price of just $160. This includes 18 holes of golf, a cart and the buffet dinner following the tournament.

A Day for Drew 2010 - Pictures/Video

The 2nd Annual Drew Clark Memorial Golf Tournament was held on August 10th, 2010 at the Links of Glen Eagles, Cochrane. We had a great turn-out for the golf again this year and a full house for the lunch.

Thanks to everyone who came out yesterday in memory of Drew and also to everyone who supported the tournament through their sponsorship and prize donations.

If you'd like to be a sponsor, please choose your desired level on the registration form. Gold and Platinum sponsors will receive tee box recognition; all other levels will be recognized in our tournament guide and during the banquet lunch. Please consider a special donation this year! All donations will be directed to the Alberta Children's Hospital, specifically towards genetic testing.

The 2nd Annual Drew Clark Memorial Golf Tournament and Fundraiser

Hello Golfers!

The Second Annual Drew Clark Memorial Golf Tournament and Fundraiser will be taking place on Tuesday, August 10th, 2010 at Glen Eagles Golf Course in Cochrane - we hope you’ll plan to attend again this year.

New this year is our interactive website where you can register and pay online, make donations, get up-to-the-date information on the tournament day, read Drew’s story, and learn more about Mitochondrial diseases. Please check out A Day for Drew.

Also, there is an early bird rate for golfers, so please get those registrations in soon!

We are very excited about this event! Last year’s event was a huge success; we raised over $13,000 for the Alberta Children’s Hospital. CN generously matched that amount, for a total of over $26,000! We are looking forward to this year’s event, where we will once again be donating to the Alberta Children’s Hospital Foundation. Specifically, all donations from the Drew Clark Memorial Golf Tournament will help outfit a Genomics lab to benefit children and families across Alberta. The Genomics lab will house state-of-the-art genomics technology that will allow the Alberta Children’s Hospital Research Institute to bring together a network of genomics collaborators from across Alberta.

So mark your calendars for Tuesday, August 10th! It’s sure to be a great day and we look forward to seeing you there!
